By far the BEST Italian food you can get in Boston. The portions are so generous. The food is excellent. The owner is always there and making sure everyone is satisfied with the service. Absolutely love it!!
Amazing food, wine & service. Didn't love our seating which was a little uncomfortable. Place is tiny & no sign with the name so hard to find. Everything was excellent except for the comfort
The food here is always on point, wine selection is well curated, and the service and environment are so warm and welcoming - it's like being welcomed into the home of a boisterous Italian family! We've been several times now and brought family along. Never been disappointed.
I feel very confusing saw so many people left they had good service. The only explanation to my experience is the server/waitress/owner is a racist. The service was really bad. The woman was very rude to me and my friend. She charged service fee without any explanation. She didn’t inform us it was cash only too. Really really bad attitude. If I could give no tip, I would. Since my friend and I was the only Asian in the restaurant, and I didn’t see she had any attitude problem serving other tables, it’s really hard for me not to think she is a racist. It’s a pity their food was very good but I would never go back again.
Absolutely delicious combinations of homemade pasta and seafood. Simple reasonable menu. Friendly professional service. Little space so have fun squeezing in.
Chicken Carbonara, Arugula Salad, Shrimp Appetizer, all simply delicious. The bread is very very fresh and tasty as well with garlic butter. Cash only but an ATM directly across the street. Small cozy romantic spot. I went there for a larger party of 6 and even though it was a tighter squeeze, 110% worth it. No sign on the outside but across from Panza. The service is quick/attentive/pleasant. Will definitely go back.
Many have said this place is racist, I can guarantee this place is. Got up from my place in 2 minutes and left. If you have some self respect and know what real dining experience is, do not go here. Such a shame. I have been associated with hospitality industry all my life and these kind of places do not even deserve to be open.. TOTALLY AVOID..
Some of the best food in Boston. It was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint. Make sure to get reservations ahead of time though. They restaurant is very small and often they have to turn away walk-ins. They are also cash only. Even so, my wife and I will make sure to stop here every time we are in town. The complimentary tiramisu to end the meal is a great treat!
This place is the hidden gem of the north end. I truly don’t understand why this place doesn’t have longer wait. It’s tasty, well priced and super friendly folks at helm. My favorite.
Excellent Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderfuly cozy and service was very friendly. The menu is small but with a great choice of amazing Italian food with a Bostonian seafood touch. Space is very limited, so a reservation could be essential.
I wish I could give 0 stars. The owner is blatantly racist. If you're not white, do not bother with this place. There are several far better options on the street.I don't usually leave reviews, but I also don't usually experience service as terrible as this place.
Cash only!!! We loved this place for it's fantastic pasta dishes and free tirimasu. It's so funny to see the long line right outside for the restaurant next door which doesn't hold a candle to this place. Love, love, love it and will be back as soon as we can roll over.
Lovely linguini Fra Diablo with Salmon, mussels, shrimp and calamari. Inviting atmosphere. Go. Enjoy.
The menu must have been recently overhauled; there are no sandwiches or deli fare anywhere to be seen. Think instead small plates and wine bar. Everything we had was superb — radishes were fresh and balanced with sweet honey; ricotta, crab, and corn dip was rich and delicious; rose spritzers were out of this world. Service was friendly. The space is small and modern; think sleek date night. Loved it.
The staff were helpful and they were very knowledgeable. Quick service once I got thru the line. The food was super tasty I got the deconstructed caprese salad... called something else, but that's what it basically was and squash ravioli, and it hit the spot. I'm shocked to announce when I reheated it for a midnight snack it was just as good! I would definitely recommend this place to friends, family and strangers ;)
Went there for a short meal but got to see some tasty looking recipes in the menu, and so I decided to come here again for taking a heavy meal. They offer really delicious foods. All the foods are cooked with fresh and healthy materials. Suggested to make a visit here.
Unbelievable cozy and delicious Italian restaurant. Be prepared for tons of great and authentic food!
Great ambiance, even better Italian food!
Love this little hidden gem, also the complimentary Tira misu will just make your dinner perfect
First time in Boston and I Loved this place...the tiger shrimp pasta was amazing! Staff was very helpful, not a wine drinker but waitress hit the spot with a delicious red wine that paired perfect with our meal! We had reservations so no wait time. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food! Tiny hole in the wall Italian food in the North End. They often (always?) bring out free food and desert. Wonderful ambience. You must make a reservation for Friday and Saturday.
If there were 6 stars, I would give it.We travelled 2 hours just to eat here, and it was well worth it. The food is incredible, the service the best I've had in any restaurant around the world. No AC, but it added to the atmosphere. 6 stars.
Such an amazing restaurant. So many to pick in the North end but this one take the cannoli! The best customer service. We had to wait so we got free wine and apps while we waited! Once the food came we were in heaven! Everything we ordered was delicious! Highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a great night in the North end you have to come here!
I’ve been meaning to leave this review for months. I used to live in the north end and peeked in around July 4th, when there were tons of visitors in town. I was happy to get a spot for last service of the evening for myself and friends who were in from New York. The lovely woman, who we later deduced was the owner, was waitressing (I loved this) and honestly made us feel like guests in her home. In addition to the amazing service and hospitality, the food was delicious. We had such an amazing experience that the following weekend I brought two other friends who were equally enamored with the coziness, hospitality, and amazing food. I regret that some disgruntled individuals have made some baseless accusations here in reviews. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston because of the food, ambience, and wonderful service! I’m a customer for life
A very cozy and sweet restaurant. I ordered the seafood soup which comes with simple seafood options but very tasteful. We love the white wine. The salad and dessert are generous and complimentary. On top of the good food, the staff is very friendly. The only down side is only cash is accepted.
Warm atmosphere. Delicious food.
I’ve never been taken care of better. Good wine selection, good food and an outstanding experience.
TL;DR If you are looking for a quaint Italian restaurant with amazing service, great quality food, and tiramisu, this is your go to place. It can be difficult to find a great place to eat with the amount of restaurants in the North End, but please add this to your list. You won't be able to find a sign with a name, making it feel like a hidden gem. As soon as you walk in, you are in the intimately sized dining room. We made reservations ahead of time to ensure seating for five. Since the location is on the smaller side, I would not recommend going with a large group unless you call ahead. We were immediately served water with warm rolls and olives in olive oil. Then we were served calamari, which were crusted and fried perfectly. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Ragu and it was creamy, unctuous goodness. You can tell the pasta was freshly made as well. To end the meal, we had tiramisu and it was perfect. Thank you for the amazing meal, I will be back.
What an amazing find...This very quaint Italian restaurant run by Siobhan an irish lady from Tipperary, Food was fantastic and service was seriously out of this world..will definitely be back next time I am in boston. Highly recommended but be warned it is small and very busy so try to book a table in advance if you can.
Amazing food and very personal service. Very small though so make a reservation.
My favorite restaurant in North End! We travel from Jersey just to make sure we can eat at Pomodoro’s. The food is outstanding and so is the service. We’ve always gotten a complimentary app and dessert, so sweet and thoughtful. Can’t wait to go back once they’re open!
Wonderful and absolutely delicious Italian food. Make reservation in advance. There is no line Infront of this place and don't get fooled by the lines in front of other fake places, like the one next door to here!
This was possibly the best dining experience I’ve had in Boston in the last 3-4 months. Not only the food was delicious, but also we got amazing service and stayed in there for 3+ hours. The place is small but so hygge, modestly decorated with wine bottles and candles. The lady working here (shivan) was so sweet that I’d totally go back just to hang out with her.
Wow what a restaurant! This place has one the best vegetable risottos I’ve ever had! They have a limited menu but all that we ordered was so so so good!!They don’t have a desert menu but we were each served a slice of tiramisu on the house which was the cherry on the cake!!They have cash only but there’s an ATM right across the street!
Incredibly cozy atmosphere, great service, great food. A must visit restaurant.
Found this place online while on work travel and I would highly recommend. The calimari, ceaser salad, and seafood fra diavola were all delicious.
I small cozy place to get dinner. Atmosphere inside was great for the evening and the service was spectacular. Such a good menu too, will definetly have to go back to try out more. I will suggest you make reservations though for going here, it cuts down on the wait and makes the night so much easier.
Very good food, great owner (she also served the food), very nice and kind lady.I love it.Going to visit here next time in boston
I’ve eaten at very many highly rated and expensive restaurants but I have never been blown away like I was at Pomodoro. Small place, very moderate pricing, but seriously one of the best meals I have ever had. If you are near the North End of Boston do not miss out on Pomodoro. You will not regret it.
The antipasto was unique and packed with flavor. They served crunchy, delicious rolls alongside a dish of olives. The set is was genuine and warm... like your two favorite aunts doting on you. They gave 3 choices for wine but the one I chose was one of the best I've tasted. We split the chicken carbonara (thank goodness) and it was rich and flavorful.
My new favorite Italian restaurant in Boston! It's a small but very comfortable restaurant. We received some plates as courtesy of the house that made the experience at the restaurant great! My party ordered mushrooms ragu, tiger shrimp linguini, seafood a la diavola, and a green salad; every plate made us very happy. It's more pricey than its neighbors restaurants but the plates are big and considering the courtesies of the house the value of money is great! A must in the North End!
Rustic Italian feel. Seats about 25 total. Everything is freshly made. Bottles of wine available. Delish food. Well worth the wait. Earlier is better. cash only
This’s amazing Restaurant, I never have someone serve so wonderful but plus the food is AMAZING. O love it I really recommend just Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, don’t lose the chance to try😋😋😋😋😋😋👏👏👏👏👏👏😂😂🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾
Stand up for decency and go somewhere else. Owner gave reserved table away because I had dropped off 2 mobility impaired people in the restaurant and left to park my car., party was "not complete." When I returned 5-10 min later, Owner said we could find another restaurant. Had to walk my party around the North End in the rain to find a table. I had called to confirm reservation and say we would be 5-10 minutes delayed due to traffic and rain. Good food is not all the owner owes to her clients.
Really great spot for traditional Italian in the North End. Straightforward menu and excellent wine selection. Make a reservation and hit the ATM as this place is cash only. Very small dining room but we had incredible service even on a very busy night.
Excellent service, personal touch, cozy interior, delicious and filling but not heavy food.
We knew we would be visiting Boston and this was the only reservation we made because we knew the place was small but didn't realize it was that small. We are always early and made reservations for when they open for dinner. It wasn't the easier to find as their name, at the time of our visit in August 2019, is not on or above the restaurant. It was cozy inside which obviously doesn't work in the current Covid-19 times.
Can't say enough good things about this intimate Italian restaurant. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, so much free food I didn't know what to do with myself. Also, even though it's tiny, there was no rush to move us out after finishing our meal. Highly recommend for an intimate, amazing Italian experience!
Ate here about a month ago for our anniversary dinner. Absolutely exquisite. Service was incredible and the food was the best Italian we ever had. Will definitely be going back the next time we are in Boston.
Food wasn’t good or bad, was fine, but the service was so bad.
